A cookie is a small text file that our Site saves on your computer when you visit the Site. It enables the Site to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the Site or browse from one page to another. Cookies may also be used for online behavioral target advertising and to show ads that may be relevant to something that you may have searched for on our Site in the past. The following types of cookies may be used on our Site:

Our uses of cookies include, but are not limited to, the following purposes:

User input cookies (session-id) such as first party cookies to keep track of the user’s input when filling online forms, shopping carts, etc., for the duration of a session or persistent cookies limited to a few hours in some cases;

Authentication cookies, to identify the user once he has logged in, for the duration of a session;

User centric security cookies, used to detect authentication abuses, for a limited persistent duration;

Multimedia content player cookies, used to store technical data to play back video or audio content, for the duration of a session;

Load balancing cookies, for the duration of session;

User interface customization cookies such as language or font preferences, for the duration of a session (or slightly longer); and

Third party social plug in content sharing cookies, for logged in members of a social network.

Enabling cookies will provide you with a better browsing experience. You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit our Site and some services and functionalities may not work.

We may also use other website tracking technologies to identify you and keep track of your preferences, prevent fraudulent activity or improve Site security, assess the performance of the Site, deliver content to you based on your interests on our Site and third-party websites, and engage in other activities as permitted by law.

For our users who are subject to the European Union’s ePrivacy Directive, we will ask for your consent to most cookies and similar website tracking technologies (e.g., web beacons, Flash cookies, etc.) before the Site starts to use them. When you access our Site from within the European Union, we display a banner to explain how we use cookies on our Site so that you can exercise control over our use of cookies. The banner appears until you click “I agree” or “I disagree”. If you agree, we will place a persistent cookie on your browser for recordkeeping purposes and to log your consent.
